Ophthalmic Nursing

The institute has launched ONE-YEAR diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing to improve the health care services by working along the Medical Experts (Specialists). The curriculum was designed by the College of Ophthalmology & Allied Vision Sciences, Post Graduate College of Nursing, Nursing Examination Board Punjab and Pakistan Nursing Council. Educational objectives (attainments) are arranged in all three domains of learning, i.e., cognitive Domain (Knowledge), Psychomotor Domain (Technical Skills), and Attitudes. These attainments are stated in all modules of learning in a way that their attainment level could be measured in terms of internal and external assessments. External assessment conducted by Nursing Examination Board Punjab annually. The duration of the course is one year. Total number of seats is 20. Seat distribution is as following:

Admission Criteria:

  • 4-year Diploma in General nursing duly registered with Pakistan Nursing Council.
  • Experience of at least three years after nursing diploma as charge nurse in a recognized hospital.
  • Commencement of new class in September of every year after selection of students on merit basis.
